Yankees Swept By Detroit, Cardinals Take 3-1 Lead

The Yankees, as predicted, are finished.

On Thursday afternoon, the Tiger used a two out rally to knock CC Sabathia around. Two, two run home runs in the third inning punched the Tigers a ticket to the World Series.

The Yankees were not as bad as they were in the series. Quite frankly, everything that could have went wrong in the series did for New York. Their offense fell apart, and even their pitching unraveled. New York has made a grand exit out of the 2012 MLB Playoffs.

On the flip side, the St. Louis Cardinals are rolling with momentum and a 3-1 lead in the NLCS.

Mid-West World Series anyone?
